It's nice to have a rack to hang my quilts so I can photograph them. I hung my chicken quilt, Too Much Chicken the other day and my neighbor said, "Gee Lynne, I love your new garage door."
Too funny.
It was almost totally overcast, but I think the photo came out pretty well.
I can't quite decide if I want to try submitting it to an AQS show, and whether it would fit in the "Modern" category where they put the "improvisationally pieced" quilts. I'm pretty sure making a quilt without a preconceived plan, no patterns, no templates and no paper-piecing qualifies.
It's wonderful Lynn
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh, Lynne-This quilt is so much fun and brought a smile to my otherwise gloomy face. Loved how you hung your quilt outside. I hope you do enter your quilt to AQS so others may enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteWhy not enter it? Nuffink to lose.

I think show attendees would L-O-V-E this quilt!
ReplyDeleteThere should be a prize at quilt shows for the quilt that the most people want a picture of. Kind of a peoples' choice. Your word quilts would win lots of those prizes. Quilt police be damned.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, I've seen your quilts up close, and they are top quality in the construction department. I think any show would be lucky to have you.
From the way you phrased it ("but"), not sure if you know that overcast days are better than sunny days for this type of photography. The clouds diffuse the light, eliminating the contrast between overexposed areas of bright light and underexposed areas of shadow.
ReplyDeleteLooks great Lynne.
ReplyDeleteso so fabulously original, funny and just all round wonderful-like most of your stuff is!!!!
ReplyDelete(but this one is a particular favorite)
