I sewed the blocks together for the Red Sticks quilt. Millie helps quite a lot. I've decided to add a thin black and white border around this before I add another row of red blocks. The border blocks will be red with red sticks, and I've already sewn several.
Love, love, love!
ReplyDeleteDitto--what Helen said!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The border should really set it off nicely too!
ReplyDeleteDitto what Helen and MB said!!!
ReplyDeleteStill loving this project!
ReplyDeleteThat is looking SO wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love RED!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely! And I get a kick out the fact that you call it Red Sticks. The sticks aren't red. But the blocks are sticks, so it sort of makes sense.
ReplyDeleteI think Millie might be trying to tell you that you need more black and white in this quilt, Lynne. Perhaps she didn't hear you say that you'll be using black and white for the first border.

It looks like that 'Pick Up Sticks' game we had as children, scattered on a red carpet. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely correct Lynda, and "Pick Up Sticks" will be the final name for this quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Great color and I like the idea of the thin black/white border. I'm having a giveaway on my blog if you would like to join in. :)
