Bright Slashed Squares

Earlier this year I made a Slashed Squares quilt from fabrics in my stash.

It is now back from being quilted, and I think it looks great. Here's a detail.

Here you can see the big Philip Jacobs fabric I chose for the back. I'll use the same fabric for the binding. As I am still waiting for my sewing machine to get out of the shop, work on this quilt is on hold.

It turned out very lovely. I always love your backs. I tend to use whatever I have on hand to back mine. I need to change that up.
Perhaps you need a small machine to have as a backup and a travel machine? I have a small Janome for classes and such. Twelve pounds is all she weighs.
Are you getting snow?

Suzanne made a point, I remember the time my machine was to the repairshop,it felt like waisting my time. A very light machine does good jobs making tops only. Indeed Lynne, you're backs are worth to be seen, special they are for they make it complete (within the theme).
Hooked on your blog I am .... lol ... very inspiring, even for a dutch guy like me

Your quilts are always so interesting and well planned. Lovely finish. You need a second machine.
