The Pink Barn

Somewhere in western Vermont, on Route 7, lives this pink barn.  My Mom and I drove by (we had been pointing out barns to each other for the whole trip) and I drove past, and then pulled over, did a U turn and went back. A pink barn surely needed to have its picture taken.

Obviously it's been neglected, with all the ivy (or is it kudzu) climbing up the walls, and I don't know what it was, or what color it might have been before it faded, but it is just the prettiest barn I had ever seen, and I am definitely going to reproduce this barn in fabric.

It is a very pretty barn. Sorry to see it has been neglected.

Overgrown ... Aged ... Weathered ... My favorite barns fall in this group - and this one is PINK, too. So glad you stopped and took photos!!!!!

There's a little barn on my way to town that's the exact color of melted strawberry ice cream. It's not nearly as pretty as this one, but that color always tugs at my heart.

Our barn is red and doesn't have much character at all.

I love thae angle of the first photo! What is the structure between the windows at the top, it looks intriguing.

Look forward to seeing how you interpret it.

I love how symmetrical the 2nd story is. And is that a chalk board on the right of the first story?

I can't wait to see it either.

Well, I have seen a lot of barns, but never a pink one. I am among those that will love to see how you recreate it in fabric.

A fabulous barn! And it looks like it might have had a sign in the middle there, don't you think? Megan will have a story for it, perhaps? I love the weathered roof but you told us you don't do the 3-D side view.....
