Birds & Henniker Barn in Sunshine

Of all the pictures I have of the Henniker barn, none of them is in bright sunshine, so it was a treat to take this photo yesterday morning, when I arrived at Quilted Threads to teach the Birds, Birds, Birds class.

I promise you there were twenty students yesterday. Here are fifteen with their first birds. They all "got it" and by 2 PM they were off to the races, with many of them making four or five birds.

Here are a few of them...

Liz and two of her friends drove all the way up from Connecticut and were very happy not only to take the class, but to see Julie's quilt, Just Wing It!

It was a GREAT DAY!

That just looks like so much fun. I love Julie's quilt (I presume it is hers) with the alternating string blocks. What a great day ... and a sunny barn photo to boot. :D

There are some mighty fine looking birds in the flock created by your class! And a lot of smiling faces, too.

Janine, Jeanne and I had an amazing time in class !!! THank you for sharing you tremendous knowledge with us, I really feel prepared to keep on birding in my sewing room. Quilted Threads is a destination all on its own, and I can't wait to come back for another Lynne class !!

It looks like a fun class. I wish I was close enough to take a class with you or better yet maybe some day you will come to NE Ohio to teach. Rather than just wishing for those things to happen..... I am going to set aside my current large project and pull some bird fabric and have some fun.
Thank you for your bird tutorial on your blog!
