Baby Maybe?

I have been stuck.

Part of it was having to leave my son and DIL in California 3,000 miles away. When I got home I was kinda blue.

I want to make a baby quilt, but I've been hung up on what pattern to make.

I knew I just had to get into the studio and just "Pick Up the Pencil."

So I went in there and picked some fabrics.

I have a simple pattern in mind, and these are the colors.

Now I'm excited, and I can't wait to get into the studio and start cutting and sewing.

Some wonderful fabrics in that lot, Lynne. Looking forward to seeing it made into a quilt.

That's a beautiful range of fabric palettes there and I look forward to seeing what comes from them.
I sympathise with the heartache of leaving family so far away, I am in the same position but it's far less of a distance than you have. I find it helps to know when the next trip will be to see them then there is an end to the void. I'm lucky that, having been to Germany in April, cheap flights came up so I'm going again in May!

You fooled me for a few seconds when I saw you had been to MQX show in Manchester..... I thought I could have attended it as Manchester is a major city in easy reach of my home in Liverpool!

What about making a word quilt for Baby Tyler? You can ask all of your crafty quilting friends to send one in for him/her, similar to the blessing scene from Sleeping Beauty? Things that they would wish for, like love/hope/joy/silliness/etc. <3
