Birds, Butterflies & Asterisks, Oh My!

I'll be at Quilted Threads today, teaching a class on the birds, asterisk flowers, hearts and my free-pieced butterflies.

We're going to have fun.  I've got something going in the slow-cooker for dinner tonight, so dinner will be ready when I get home. Whee!

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time teaching your class today. I wish I lived closer than 3,000 miles away so I could attend a few of your classes.

I think this quilt may be my all time favorite out of all the amazing quilts you have created. Your birds remind me of the sand pipers I see running along the shoreline at our coast. I love their crisp angular shape. The way those sharp points are carried through in the wings of the butterflies, hearts & the asterisks. The quilting pattern really adds a great sense of movement & liveliness to the entire quilt. Simply stunning! Can't wait to hear what a fun time you have teaching today.
