Thank Goodness for the Internet

I spent last night parked in front of my laptop filling out change of address forms.

The Post Office

The Division of Motor Vehicles

The Bank

The Credit Cards

Paypal

The Magazines

AQS

The Online backup service

EZ Pass

The Utilities

AAA

Voter Registration in the new town.

And I also have to change my next-of-kin contact information also since my Son and DIL have also moved.

I've already ordered new checks...

I'm really glad the internet has so much of this readily available.

Because I'm really getting tired of this.

Who knew there was so much stuff lurking behind closed doors . . . Mwahahaha

Just kidding - moving is H-A-R-D work .... Not too much longer now.

It's exhausting moving but you are almost there!!! Oh another thing I did when we moved. I hired a company (a man and his son) to come and clean on the day I moved out. It was well worth the money as they scrubbed their hearts out, did the carpets, windows and cleaned everything, so the house looked awesome. It meant I could move and settle in the new place which needed a bit of cleaning when I got there.

I was so glad I spent the money as I was exhausted by the move and it was the longest tiring day.

The only thing I would add to Poppy Q's suggestion is, if the new place needs a scrubbing, get that done, too!!

We've been packed up for nearly a year.... anything that could be packed was packed up last year, expecting a quick sale. I've been doing without all my rubber stamp stuff for over a year, and most of my quilting things... some things you can't live without. I did sell last week, but they have not, and I still don't have a place to go - you can't buy without a signed contract selling your house. Now we have to get a house 600 miles away... and hope everything coincides. (Scream)
