Planning

Have you ever heard the phrase, "If you don't know where you're going, you will end up someplace else."I like knowing where I am going, so I plan. I need to know what my letters are supposed to look like, so I often draw them out first.

And I like to know what colors will work, so I play with those too.
Here is the Rules quilt so far. The "E" in "the" is too tall, so that's going to change, but I am loving it so far.

Props to the commenter who figures out what I am doing in the "all the". You can click the photos, and then click again to enlarge.

uh, don't have a guess, but I like the oversized e there.... but that's me of course!

Love the larger E--I think it fits the theme of the quilt just fine! Appears that you are doing a rainbow effect in those letters--fading one color into the next--pretty cool!

I actually really love the larger than life E in the also. I enjoy seeing your quilts come to life.

I like that E in the. It echoes the A in all. And you're doing a tight color progression, leading up to something in "Fun". Red, maybe?

p.s. the quote is from Yogi Berra. Love it! I think I might have done that a time or two. *grin*

Leave the E. It's fine as it is.

Umm - leading up to the next colour, but you've already got a red at the top in If. Perhaps a lovely lovely bright and loud Red?
