Almost Perfect

Yesterday was a very long and busy day. We were celebrating my son's birthday, so I had to neaten up the house, do all the dishes, do the laundry, do the groceries, change the sheets, clear off my dining room table, AND make homemade brownies (no brownie mixes, cake or cookie mixes for me - Ever!) and a batch of caramel corn for the celebration.

My Mother, Son and I went out for Sushi. Other family members grumbled a bit, but they don't like Sushi, and going out for Sushi is definitely a Shared Experience. After we got home, Ninjas with seven black belts between them moved the bureaus, big desk, filing cabinets and bookcase between the two rooms. While the whole family watched a martial arts movie (after I made two huge batches of popcorn with butter and parmesan cheese), I put the computer back together, trying to keep the cables as organized and neat as possible. (You all know how THAT goes.)

The room is -almost- perfect. There's a lot left to do to get it "just right" but it is now a completely functional sewing studio.

Hallelujah!

Wow! What an amazing day you had; homemade brownies? Awesome! You deserve to put your feet up and relax today, although I doubt you'll do that for long. I know you will be creating something wonderful in your new quilt studio!!

It does make a difference when everything is organized in the same room. Hope you have many hours of enjoyment in your new sewing space!
