More Trees

The inside dimension of this blue tape square on the floor is 24", the maximum size for the quilt for the Doll Quilt Swap. I'm still working out a plan. Then, while driving to work yesterday, I looked at the trees along the sides of the road, and got an idea. So when I got home last night, I made some more trees. The tallest one here is about 4-1/2" tall.
I live in New Hampshire. It was 15 degrees F when I went out this morning. So these are winter trees.

I'm getting there.

As if this week at work wasn't bad enough, the voicemail system went out yesterday.

(Sigh.)

Lynne,
Your two new trees on the right make me think of the tall pines in northern NH after a snowfall.

Love the winter trees. I made some for my last quilt using fabric that was green with white splotches. I tried to keep the white on the same side to look like snow.

PS - I'm in Maine - a balmy 23 degrees right now!

The winter trees are really wintery.

I'll be interested to see how your trees turn into a quilt. Also...love the new photo of your hands at the top of your blog.

Love your blue tape trick. I think Rusty would take it as a challenge to do a "kitty mix". I love, love, love the trees. I need to make one for me.

Four seasons of trees, winter trees, spring trees, summer trees and fall trees. All with different colors and shapes. I looked at these and went, yep, winter trees.
