Tame Tuesday

I decided to try the disappearing 9-patch using some fabrics I picked up at a local yard sale. It didn't mean it to turn out so symmetrical, but I sewed a pair wrong and had to adapt. This is very nice, and pleasing, but not quite enough "zing" for me. I should have used a brighter yellow, a warmer yellow, so the whole thing would POP more. I'm going to add a little border, and practice some machine quilting on it. I'll finish it up. It'll find a good home somewhere.

I think it looks great. I had only done the other patteren till I saw this patteren from a blog. I did mine with purples and black. I thought it looked great. One day I will post it on mine blog. As soon as I can learn to do my photos better.

I think it looks great in these colours. Look forward to seeing it completed. It's great we can always find a home for a quilt even if we don't fall in love with it ourselves.

If this were my little quilt, I would be thrilled with the color choice, It works!

I think it turned out very pretty. I have not yet done a disappearing 9-patch, but it's on my "to do" list. I'm sure you will find a good home for it - there's no shortage of people who will happily adopt a quilt :o)

I love it! The DNP is such a great pattern because no two are alike!

Of the D9Ps I've seen, this is my favorite. I love symmetry; the floating layers are cool.
