Selvage Doll Quilt

There was one block I didn't like in my Doll Quilt Swap 7 quilt, so I did it over. After arranging the blocks the way I liked, I added more selvages to the four inner blocks giving me a much more interesting design. I have now made the quilt sandwich and have started quilting.

I really like the graphic quality of this, and for some reason it reminds me of Andy Warhol's Wayne Thiebaud's work.

Millie helped, of course.

I think your doll quilt came out great. I really like your last-minute addition! Wow, this is a beautiful swap quilt - lucky person who receives it!

And the picture of Millie is priceless!

I liked your other lay out ~ but this one is so much better. I have yet to do my first selvage project but I'm still collecting them. Thanks for the inspiration

Lynne that is stunning! I was never a fan of Warhol (I just didn't "get it") so your comparison makes me frown. I think that you are FAR BETTER than Mr. Warhol - thank you very much!!! ~LOL~

I love Millie helping you press the selvages. You have an iron that purrs...we should all be that lucky.

I love the way you finished to the blocks. Love the last minute chage you did.

Love the way the center looks. Millie is truly a quilter's cat. You can see the joy in her eyes as she is queen of the selvage pile. P.S. sponges on the way for your mom.

Yes, like others have mentioned I really was fond of the first layout, but the addition of the selvages to the four inner blocks definitely "kicked it up a notch" and it's just great!

I love your little selvage quilt. I am sure your partner will be so excited when she opens it. I am impressed that you are done so early.
