Something Completely Different

This is my workspace at work. Yes, I have two computers; I'm the Alpha Geek. The painting is one of my mother's, and I like it because it makes me feel like I have a view outside.

One thing that amazes me about modern day workspaces is that hardly anyone seems to have any natural light. What happened to the idea that fluorescent lighting, together with computers, ruins your eyes?

I keep meaning to take a photo of my work space. thanks for yours. I put small art up on my back board as officially we are not allowed to put anything on the "walls" but a calendar.

Clare's comment highlights a problem that too many of us deal with. I have two desk lamps with sunlight bulbs to help equalize the light in my work area (computer screen, copy stand, work surfaces).

Computer glasses help and I also make it a point to get outdoors during my lunch hour.

Your painting does indeed give the feel of a window . . . only the attorneys have real windows in this office.

Fortunately I have a job where I get to move around a lot. I'm not stuck at my desk for long periods of time.

Your Mom's painting adds a lot of life to your workspace. I blocked out the painting with my thumb and viewed the photo and it looked nice but cold... took my thumb away, and... Wow! What a difference. Lucky you to have a Mom that is an artist!
