Alphabet Sampler Quilt Top is Finished

I am really happy with it. It is 41" x 60".

The row of yellow dots went up at the top. The lavender ones went below the numbers, the soft green went below the house, and pink ones are at the very bottom. Now I am working on piecing the backing and making binding.

I also have to figure out how to quilt it, which is going to be interesting because I don't have a longarm machine, and my elderly Kenmore is not designed for stipple quilting.

Your quilt top is truly awesome! What a beautiful quilt...it really does look like an old-fashioned sampler, and so personal. I think that's the best part! Oh, and thanks for sharing how you made your hand. Very enlightening and educational. It was fun to watch this one evolve and grow!

It's perfect! The quilting part is always a difficult decision on these kinds of quilts. Good luck with that.

MomBean says she has to go visit now to try and sneak it back to Maryland...

I told her it wasn't worth the world of hurt if she got caught.

I *love* this quilt. I used to cross stitch samplers and this looks just like a cross stitch project. Wonderful work!!

Ingenious! I am very impressed by the clever way you figured out how to piece your hand rather than applique it. I love the quilt. It is reminiscent of a cross-stitched sampler but your quilted spin makes it sing!

this quilt is spectacular. I agree with others that it reminds me of the old time samplers. You did a great job with the layout.
